Two evenings under the stars
Event dates: Friday 6 and Saturday 7 November 2026.
We’re planning something a little special at Bellingham Camping. For these two evenings, we’ll be making an extra effort to reduce light around the campsite and give everyone the opportunity to enjoy Northumberland’s beautiful night skies.
We’ll switch off non-essential lighting and use specially designed dark-sky covers on essential lighting.
We’re also asking guests to help by keeping their awning lights switched off during these evenings.
The aim is simple: less artificial light and a better opportunity to appreciate the stars above us.
On a clear night, Northumberland’s skies can be spectacular. Our campsite has even been fortunate enough to experience beautiful aurora displays, although sightings depend on natural conditions and can never be guaranteed.
Please take extra care when moving around after dark. Essential safety lighting will remain available.
